SOLUTION TO LAST MONTH'S QUIZ

   1. 14
   2. 20
   3. 8

Notes.
  Number who passed I but failed II = 50-22 = 28

     So in the Venn Diagram, e+a = 28 - (i)
          Similarly f+b = 44-34 = 10 - (ii)
                and d+c = 80-34 = 46 - (iii)
      Also a+b+c+d+e+f+g = 100-2 = 98 - (iv)

Add equations (i),(ii) and (iii) and subtract from (iv)
            So g = 98-28-10-46 = 14

All remaining unknowns are then easily found,
     in the following order: f, d, e, a, b, c
